Cal. 41 CF. S# 4817. Bbl. 2 3/16". New Line .41 double action revolver mfg. by Colt in 1876. Top of the bbl. is marked with Colt's 2-line address. Left side of the frame is marked "41 CAL", followed by "C". Cyl. (tip of flutes) and left underside of bbl. exhibit British commercial proofs. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece plain wood bird's head grips. Fixed German silver blade front sight and frame notched rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame and bbl. Cyl. is mismatched via "291". Grips are unnumbered. CONDITION: metal components retain traces of their original blue finish, with the balance having faded to gray patina and exhibiting consistent light to mild surface oxidation and pitting overall. Bore exhibits consistent moderate oxidation, with traces of rifling. Action does not function, with cyl. not rotating when hammer is cocked. Grips show scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with a small chip and 2 large impressions present on the left panel and several cracks present on the right panel.
