Cal. 41 CF. S# 1771. Bbl. 2 3/16". Colt New Line .41 single action revolver mfg. by Colt in 1875. Top of the bbl. is marked with Colt's 2-line address. Left side of the frame is marked "41 CAL". Cyl. is stamped with small British Crown/V proofs in the flutes. Frame is mounted with 2-piece plain wood bird's head grips. Fixed German silver blade front sight and frame notched rear sight. Matching numbers are present the frame, cyl., and bbl. Left grip panel is unnumbered, right panel is mismatched via an apparent "2266" in pencil. CONDITION: metal components have faded to a mottled gray patina, exhibiting consistent light to mild pitting overall. Bore exhibits consistent light to mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show general overall wear, as well as scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. (01-29511/MLW). ANTIQUE. $300-500.
