Cal. 45 Colt. S# 332332. Bbl. 5 1/2". New Service double action revolver, mfg. by Colt in 1931. Left side of the bbl. is marked "NEW SERVICE 45 COLT", with Colt's mfg. and patent information marked over the top. Left side of the frame is marked with the Rampant Colt logo and "VP" proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt silver medallion checkered wood grips. Clipped blade front sight, with frame notched rear sight. Checkered grip strap and trigger, with lanyard loop on butt. Matching numbers are present on the frame and cyl. crane. Grips are unnumbered. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some scattered superficial handling marks, some light to mild wear and thinning, as well as some flecks of light surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Grips exhibit smoothing, as well as some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable.
