Cal. 45 ACP. S# 209959. Bbl. 5 1/2" w/ fin shaped blade sight; frame notched rear. Mfg. 1919 (1918-1920 for Army; 1898-1944 for New Service) w/ Army markings & 53705 on butt; 151,700 units. Last bbl. patent date of 1905 plus 'UNITED STATES PROPERTY" & "H" (near frame) on bottom. Middle issue indicated by "JMG" (Lt. Col. John M. Gilbert) proof. Brushed finish (sides of hammer bright) w/ lanyard loop & smooth oiled grips having matching (penciled) numbers on backs. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: near excellent tan colored lanyard cord w/ attachment clip. CONDITION: overall near excellent appearance. Hint of beginning turn line on cyl. & occasional extremely faint beginning thinning on high points such as front of cyl. Grips have some faint, negligible marks. Bore is near excellent.
