Cal. 22 RF. S# 60797. Bbl. 2 3/8". Open Top Pocket Model single action revolver mfg. by Colt in 1875. Top of the bbl. is marked with Colt's 2-line address between x2 Maltese crosses. Left side of the frame is marked "22 CAL". Cyl. and bbl. exhibit a nickel plated finish, with the hammer and trigger exhibiting a blue finish. Brass frame is mounted with 2-piece plain wood birds head grips. Fixed half-moon blade front sight and hammer notched rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame and bbl. CONDITION: frame has faded to a darkened patina, retaining traces of original silver plating beneath the grips and exhibiting some superficial handling marks overall. Cyl. and bbl. retain large amounts of their original nickel plated finish, exhibiting scattered spots of flaking showing through to dark oxidation. Bore exhibits scattered spots of mild to moderate pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics, save for the hammer, which does not lock completely rearward. Grips show scattered superficial marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. (01-29505/MLW). ANTIQUE. $300-400.
