Cal. 38. S# 88369. Bbl. 4". Police Positive double action revolver mfg. by Colt in 1920. Left side of the bbl. is marked "COLT", followed by "POLICE/ POSITIVE" and ".38", with Colt's mfg. and patent information marked across the top. Left side of the frame is marked with the Rampant Colt logo. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece "COLT" checkered hard rubber grips. Left grip panel appears to match, but number is mostly illegible. Half-moon blade front sight, with frame notched rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas, as well as scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting some light pitting towards the muzzle while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show some light smoothing, as well as scattered superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (24-5655/MLW). CURIO. $400-600.
