Cal. 45 Colt. SN. 112072. Bbl. 7 1/2". Six shot fluted cyl. Bullseye ejector head. One piece walnut grip has visible cartouches on both panels. Right side of frame is marked "U.S." Inspectors mark "G" is located below SN on trigger guard and backstrap. "DFC" referring to chief sub inspector David C. Clark is found on the bottom of the frame and right grip panel. Letter "P" is located on the cyl. Assembly number "582" is on inside of loading gate. bbl., frame, grip strap & cyl. have matching serial numbers. UNATTACHED ACCESORIES: Colt Archive Properties letter stating the following "Serial Number: 112072 / Caliber: .45c / Finish: blue / Type of stocks: Not listed / Sold To: United States Government / Delivered To: U.S. Government Inspector Located at the Colt plant / Date of Shipment: October 30, 1884 / Number of Same type guns in Shipment: 150". CONDITION: metal has a cleaned gray appearance with spots of light pitting. Grips show wear & handling marks. Cyl. indexing is slow when action is cycled, hammer retains 4 clicks.
