SINGLE ACTION PERCUSSION REVOLVER WITH FACTORY BOX. Cal. 44. S# 31326. Bbl. 7 1/2". Second Generation Third Model Dragoon single action percussion revolver mfg. by Colt during the early 1980s. The top of bbl. is marked with Colt's single line New York address. Left side of the frame is marked "COLTS/ PATENT". Cyl. is marked with Colt's roll engraved Texas Ranger scene. Frame, hammer, and loading lever exhibit a case color hardened finish, with the bbl., bbl. wedge, cyl., and bbl. exhibiting a blue finish. Brass trigger guard and backstrap are fitted with a 1-piece smooth wood grip. Silver blade front sight with V-notch rear sight on hammer. All serialized parts are matching. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: factory box matching via the full S# in marker on the end label. CONDITION: near new, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory finishes overall, save for on the front sight, which appears to exhibit flaking. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grip is excellent. Box shows some external wear, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman.
