Cal. 32 WCF. S# 299348. Bbl. 4 1/2". Mfg. in 1907. Left side of the bbl. is marked "(BISLEY MODEL) 32 W.C.F.", with Colt's 2-line address marked across the top. Left side of the frame is marked with Colt's 2-line patent information, followed by the encircled Rampant Colt logo. Case colored frame, loading gate, and hammer, with blued bbl., ejector rod housing, ejector rod, cyl., trigger, trigger guard, and rear grip strap. Frame is mounted with 2-piece ivory grips, with the right panel featuring a relief carved horse head. Rear grip strap is proud to the grips. Standard SAA pattern blade front sight and frame notched rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, trigger guard, and rear grip strap. CONDITION: frame, loading gate, and hammer retain traces of original case coloring in protected areas, with the balance having faded to a gray patina, showing scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation and pitting. Blued parts retain fair to good amounts of their original finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning fading to gray patina, with some scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation. Dark bore, exhibiting consistent moderate surface oxidation / pitting, while retaining discernible rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics with no cyl. play. Grips show a pleasing mellow patina with light superficial marks from handling and storage. (25-4901/MLW). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
