REVOLVER. Cal. 45 Colt. S# 121152. Bbl. 7 1/2". Top of bbl. is marked with Colt's single line address, with a "P" proof (also present on side of cyl.), followed by a "D.F.C." (David F. Clark) inspector proof, which is repeated on the underside of the frame above the S# and on the side of the cyl.. Left side of frame is marked with Colt's 3-line patent information, followed by "U.S.". Frame is mounted with an unmarked 1-piece smooth wood grip. Standard SAA pattern blade front sight and frame notched rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, trigger guard, rear grip strap, cyl., as well as the bbl. CONDITION: metal components retain scant traces of original finish in unexposed areas, with the balance having faded to a dark mottled gray patina, showing scattered patches with varying degrees of pitting. Bore exhibits consistent light to mild pitting, while retaining good to strong rifling throughout. Grips show heavy wear, as well as scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, with a small chip present on the right panel at the toe. (01-28133/MLW). ANTIQUE. $4,000-6,000.
