SESQUICENTENNIAL REVOLVER WITH FACTORY CASE & MATCHING FACTORY BOX. Cal. 22 LR. S# 2134MES. Bbl. 4 3/4". Single Action Frontier Scout Maine Sesquicentennial revolver mfg. by Colt in 1970. Left side of the bbl. is marked "1820 - MAINE SESQUICENTENNIAL - 1970", with Colt's single line address marked across the top, and the model and cal. designations marked on the right. Left side of the frame is marked with the encircled Rampant Colt standing atop a glove logo. Frame, loading gate, trigger, bbl., and ejector rod housing exhibit a gold plated finish, with the 1-piece trigger guard, frame screws, hammer, cyl., and ejector rod head exhibiting a nickel plated finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt gold medallion faux pearl grips. Standard fixed blade front sight and frame notched rear sight. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: factory wood Maine Sesquicentennial display case containing a gold lobster and lid latch screws. This example is also accompanied by its cardboard sleeve (for the display case) and a factory wood grain box, matching via "2134-MES" in white grease pencil on one end. CONDITION: fine, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory gold and nickel plated finishes overall. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent. Case sleeve shows tearing along edges, but otherwise remains serviceable. Factory box exhibits some water damage on one end, but otherwise remains sound. (26-3151/MLW).
