Cal. 45 Colt. S#. 95720. Bbl. 7 1/2". 6 shot fluted cyl. 1 piece walnut grips, left panel shows a partial cartouche. Left side of frame is stamped U.S." Bbl. & frame have "DFC" inspection markings. David F. Clark inspected 13,000 revolvers as Principle Sub-Inspector between Jan. 5, 1880 - Nov. 4, 1886. Other parts have "G" inspector marks. Mfg. 1883. UNATTACHED ACCESORIES: Colt marked modern walnut presentation case w/ red velour fitted interior & cartridge block, containing case key. CONDITION: metal finish has faded to gray showing scattered very light pitting. Heavily sanded grips are undersize showing handling marks w/ chips at butt. Sound action. Bore has a dark appearance w/ worn rifling. (01-25727/DS) ANTIQUE. $5000-7500.
