WITH BOX & FACTORY LETTER. Cal. 22 LR. S# 40610-S. Bbl 6". Woodsman Match Target manufactured by Colt in 1949. The left side of the barrel is stamped with Colt's address and patent information, with the Rampant Colt logo above "MATCH TARGET" on the frame, and "COLT" followed by the caliber designation marked on the slide. Metal components exhibit a blued finish, with the frame being mounted with 2 piece Colt checkered brown plastic thumbrest grips. Rear grip strap is mounted with a matching brown plastic extension. MAGS: 1 10 rnd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Colt factory letter indicating that this example was 1 of 10 pistols shipped to Harper & Reynolds Corp. in Los Angeles, CA on February 3rd of 1949. Additionally, this pistol is accompanied by an original factory box containing a instruction pamphlet and matching factory paper test target. CONDITION: very good overall, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some mild wear, with some scattered spots of mild surface oxidation. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips show a few minor handling marks, but are otherwise very good overall. Box exhibits mild exterior wear, with some separation at a couple of the corners on the lid. (23-1781/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,100.
