REVOLVER. Cal. 38 Colt. S# 90521. Bbl. 6". New Army DA revolver mfg. by Colt in 1897. The left side of the bbl. is marked "COLT. D.A. 38", with Colt's 2 line address across the top. Left side of frame exhibits the encircled Rampant Colt logo at the rear. Metal components exhibit a lustrous blue finish, with the frame screws and trigger exhibiting a fire blued finish. Frame is mounted with Colt logo checkered brown hard rubber grips. Grips exhibit a matching assembly number to the frame, cyl. crane, and cyl. latch. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Red Head brown leather holster. CONDITION: metal components retain good amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning overall that shows through to gray patina, with some scattered spots of pitting. Bright bore, exhibiting consistent mild pitting and strong rifling throughout. Grips exhibit smoothing and some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting moderate wear and mild age related cracking and crazing. (01-24539/MLW). ANTIQUE. $300-400.
