Cal. .44. S# 11000. Standard configuration of 1863-1864 manufactured Civil War martial army revolver utilizing earlier fluted cylinder, 8" barrel with New York address, originally blued, brass trigger guard, one piece walnut grips with two inspector cartouches "WHR" on left & "JT" on right (William H. Russell & John Taylor). Sub-inspection initials A, B, C, D, and GG found on various parts. CONDITION: good to very good overall, all parts are original Colt, matching S# 11000 is restamped on barrel, frame, trigger guard, restamped "1000" is stamped on back of cylinder, "000" on wedge and cylinder pin. An original last 4 digits of S# "0005" inked on back strap channel. Artificial aged gray patina, discernible markings, good well-fit grips with 2 good readable cartouches, mechanics are fine, good rifled bore. PROVENANCE: Bob Allispones estate collection.
