16.25" overall, 12.25" clip point blade, turned wood handle that appears reused from tool, forged sculpted iron D-Guard with slot in bulbous knucklebow. Accompanied by once red painted canvas sheath with belt loop cut in back. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: letter of authenticity from "Museum of Our Southern Heritage" 2005, stating provenance and collection history starting with Dennis Headlee featuring it as part of his "Ghosts of the Confederacy" display, selling to Dean Dillon in 2001. CONDITION: very good overall, appears "as found", dark iron patina and pitting in areas. (02-23366-4/JS). NON-GUN. $800-1,200.
