Cal. 42/18ga. S# 1427. Late 1863 made 2nd model LeMat grapeshot revolver. Barrel address: "Systeme LeMat Bte sgdc Paris". Standard configuration, 9-shot cylinder, underlying shotgun barrel, reciprocating pin cylinder rotation system, hinged selector on hammer face for choice of shotgun or cylinder. Smooth wood grips, loading assembly attached to frame on left side. Accompanied by leather holster with sewn roller, buckle closure. CONDITION: good overall as loading assembly professionally restored and refinished. All matching S#s. Barrel address mostly discerned, metal gray with pitting. Mechanics are very good, discernible rifled barrel & smooth clean shotgun bore. Holster fits revolver tightly. PROVENANCE: ex-Bill Myers collection, Perryville, OH, 2014. (01-26028/JS).
