Knucklebow terminates with serpent's head into unique pommel with relief cast wreath having laurel leaves one side oak leaves the other. Original black painted scabbard is among the best made in the South, braised sheet iron with brass throat, ring mounts, and drag. UNATTACHED ACCESORIES: original bill of sale from R. E. "Sonny" Neville, Jr. 1994. CONDITION: very good overall, sword is slightly loose due to missing protective leather washer. Hilt & mounts have traces of gold wash & overall mottled chocolate brown/mustard patinas. Blade has been cleaned, stained, and pitted, but etched maker, "CS", and crossed cannon can be discerned.
