Cal. 45 Rifled. S# 0016733. Bbl. 9". Percussion belt pistol mfg. by Connecticut Valley Arms. Left quarter flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked with CVA's mfg. information, as well as with the cal. designation and S#. Lockplate and hammer exhibit light decorative engraving. Lockplate exhibits a case colored finish, with remaining metal components exhibiting a blue finish overall. 1-piece single wedge fastened plain wood stock features a steel trigger guard and belt hanger, strawed steel wedge and escutcheon, a pewter nose cap, as well as a single ramrod pipe. Reverse mounted dovetailed brass blade front sight with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. Complete with aluminum tipped hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory finishes, exhibiting some spots of light wear and thinning, with the lockplate exhibiting some light wear around the percussion nipple drum.
