CARBINE. Cal. 30 Carb. S# 4572533. Bbl. 18". Bbl. is marked behind front sight "ROCK-OLA" w/out date. Foot type rear sight marked on left side "A-R" & on right side "S". Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Sight base is marked "RP". Unmarked wide bbl. band w/ wire type sling swivel. Straight cut slide marked "ROCK-OLA". Rnd. bolt marked "ROCK-OLA" on left lug. Stamped Rock-Ola trigger housing w/ push button safety, mag. catch marked "BR". Straight hammer marked "LT-Q" & "R". MAGS: 1 - 15 rd. marked "R-O". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: green web 2 pocket ammo. pouch marked "S.FROEHLICH CO. 1943 US". Walnut stock set w/ original finish & very good appearance. High wood T-cut buttstock marked on right side near sling slot w/ ordnance crossed cannons. Stock is marked on left side in sling slot w/ "RMC". Marked at end of pistol grip w/ boxed "R.A.-P." indicating at least a check & test at the Raritan Arsenal in NJ. Recoil plate is unmarked. Two rivet handguard is marked "RMC". CONDITION: stock set has lightly worn original finish but w/ numerous scattered sm. scratches & handling marks. Metal retains 70% of its original finish w/ thinning & light wear. Bore has lightly worn lands & scattered fine pitting. Bore has ring approx. 1 1/2" behind front sight w/ visible bulge on exterior surface. (23-4947/RW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
