LEVER ACTION SHORT RIFLE. Cal. 32 WCF. S# W41937. Bbl. 20". Model 1873 lever action short rifle mfg. in Italy by Uberti and imported/retailed by Cimarron. Top flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked with Cimarron's importer information above "-KING'S IMPROVEMENT PATENTED MARCH 29.1866.OCTOBER 16.1860-", with "32 W.C.F." marked towards the breech. Upper receiver tang is marked "MODEL 1873", with the S# marked on the lower tang. Underside of receiver is marked "CAT.11706". Receiver, hammer, trigger, and lever exhibit a case color hardened finish, with the bbl., mag. tube, forend nose cap, dust cover, and buttplate exhibiting a blue finish. Checkered wood pistol grip buttstock and forend. Blade front sight (bead is absent) with V-notch ladder rear sight. Action has been tuned for cowboy action shooting and features a crisp trigger pull. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory finishes, exhibiting some light wear, as well as a few superficial handling marks overall. Receiver exhibits some areas of fading to its case color hardened finish, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Receiver screws show some marring. Very bright bore, exhibiting a few spots of mild pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, as well as a few areas of light bubbling and flattening to the checkering, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable.
