Cal. 70. NSN. Bbl. 20 1/4" shortened. Prussian 1809 musket cut down with rear sight present but not front. Lock has crown & Danzig arsenal markings with 1830 date. Hammer screw is modern replacement. Bbl. has 1824 date. Cut down beech stock with brass furniture. CONDITION: stock shows a crack from rear of lock into wrist, further scattered cracks, a notable chip behind hammer, scattered flaking, chipping, dings & handling wear. Brass parts are a dull yellow patina with oxidation & trigger guard displays a poor fit to wood. Balance of metal is a dull gray patina with scattered pitting & oxidation. Lock is functional when hand cycled. Pitted bore. (01-27006/MJC). ANTIQUE. $500-700.
