PISTOL. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 10150. Bbl. 3 1/2". 1 of approx. 3,800 Mars semi-automatic pistols mfg. in Kdyne, Czechoslovakia by Kohout & Spol. The left side of the slide is marked "MARS 765/ KOHOUT & SPOL KDYNE", followed by "17970 (CZECH RAMPANT LION) 42". Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, with the frame having been reblued at one time. Bbl. is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece vertically grooved grips. Slide features a sight groove, with an integral blade front sight and V-notch rear sight. Slide matches the frame via "150" on the interior. MAGS: 1 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their blue finish, showing light edge wear, with scattered spots/areas of light surface oxidation and pitting overall. Left side of slide exhibits an area of mild to moderate dark oxidation. Sides of frame and front grip strap exhibit scattered porous spots, with the grip straps both exhibiting light to mild wear/thinning and consistent light surface oxidation. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Action functions appropriately when cycled by hand. Grips show some superficial handling marks, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable.
