MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 11.35 CF. S# 58529. Bbl. 35 3/8". Bayonet bar on right side of bbl. Ladder rear sight with auxiliary volley notch. Volley sight is present on the middle bbl. band. Front sight base has been modified to standard 3/8" dovetail and is fitted with a Lyman brass bead front sight. The rolling block action is in-the-white and marked on the left side with the royal cipher over "M-1867". The breech block with its firing pin retractor has the dual holes for the firing pin as converted to centerfire. The receiver tang is marked "KJOBENHAVNS TOJHUUS" and "1880." Cleaning rod is present. European walnut buttstock and forend. Buttstock has acceptance mark at heel and unmarked brass disc on right side. Royal crown on left side of grip. Forend has three bands retained by springs. CONDITION: stock set has an added finish over the worn original finish, with numerous handling marks and several vertical dents on the right side of the forend. Break receiver has small areas of gray. Bbl. has traces of blue turning gray. Balance of parts are mostly gray. Very good, shiny bore. (01-25884/RW). ANTIQUE. $500-800.
