DAGGER. Overall length 19”. Plain blade marked on the reverse near the hilt “DAVID MALSCH DM STEINBACH-THUR.”. Silvered cross guard & disc pommel with central gilded mobile party symbol. Silver wire wrapped dark brown leather grip with silver bullion knot attached. Dark leather covered scabbard with plated mounts. The throat is stamped “160” on the edge. Original hanger is attached. CONDITION: blade shows some factory polish with areas of staining & discoloration. Hilt shows light wear with a pleasing dark tarnish on the cross guard & pommel. Scabbard shows light wear with a few shallow dents on the tip. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of Glen E. Mattox. (02-18292/BF). $800-1,100.
