PISTOL. Cal. 6.5mm Berg. S# 2160. Bbl. 4 1/2". Standard configuration late variation Bergmann Model 1896 No. 3 pistol with screw-in bbl., bolt with extractor, and grip with palm swell. Crown/C/N proofing on left side of bbl. and bbl. extension. Left side of frame with patent reference. Sideplate marked with the Bergmann logo. S# "2160" on right side of frame extension. Fitted with checkered walnut grips. Fixed lanyard loop. CONDITION: generously good with pistol having uniform gray/brown appearance with light etching mainly on the forward portion of the gun. Most of the strawed and fire blued parts have oxidized to a brownish tone. Grips oil darkened with blunted diamonds. The right panel having a shaved section adjacent to palm swell as imaged. Generally bright bore with etching and shallow lands. Correct mechanical function. A classic and correct Bergmann pistol. (01-27368/LMA). ANTIQUE. $2,500-3,500.
