BRANCH "1944" DATED STEN MK II SUBMACHINE GUN. Cal. 9mm (9x19mm). S# 10L3319. Bbl. 7 3/4". 1 of approx. 73,000 Sten Mk II submachine guns mfg. at the Long Branch arsenal and supplied by Canada for the Chinese Nationalist Military. This example registered by DLO, is marked "DLO STAMFORD CT/ NO 3319", followed by a Canadian proof on the left side of the trigger housing. Top of the mag. well housing exhibits 3-lines of Chinese characters, appearing to be denoting the model designation, with the bottom line of characters denoting "MADE IN CANADA". Underside of mag. well housing is marked "10L3319/ STEN MK II/ LONG BRANCH/ 1944". Metal components exhibit a parkerized finish overall. Standard fixed blade front sight and fixed peep aperture rear sight. Stamped steel skeletonized buttstock. MAGS: x1 32-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their parkerized finish, exhibiting some scattered superficial handling marks, with some scattered spots of light wear present overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting some light pitting on the lands and streaks of apparent hardened grease in the grooves along the edges of the lands, while retaining well defined rifling throughout.
