Cal. 380 ACP. S# 546915. Bbl. 4". Attractive Astra M300 in 380 ACP, waffenamt marked, as procured by Germany during WWII. Complete with a spare mag. and correct holster. The pistol is marked in the usual manner, with the logo over the forward slide, followed by the Astra name and location in Spain. Triad of Eibar proofs on the left tang, with the automatic pistol proof repeated on the left slide and on the exposed chamber, the latter also marked with the caliber "9MM KURZ". Full S# on right tang, right side of slide, last 3-digits on underside of bbl. Major components are rust-blued with a fire-blued extractor and grip screws. Trigger, safety lever, and mag. release in the white. Fitted with a lanyard ring. Correct mags. that are unmarked except for the Astra logo on the floorplate extension. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: complete with the correct brown holster with pouch for spare mag. and a single broad belt loop on the obverse surface. Ink marking on the inside flap is not legible. CONDITION: very good with sharp edge and handling wear, as one might expect from a pistol that has seen moderate use, along with the usual plier marks at the forward slide reflecting an improper attempt at disassembly. Grips oil soaked, with blunted checkering and small scattered losses, especially on the right panel. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics. Holster is very good, except for the retention stud, which has torn free from the body of the holster. (24-1501/MLW). CURIO. $750-1,250.
