HOLSTERS. Lot of 6 U.S. M1911 Model of 1912 holsters, including: 1) M1911 Model of 1912 holster mfg. by Rock Island Arsenal in 1915. Closure flap is embossed with "US" within an oval, with the rear of the holster marked "R.I.A./ 1915.". Brown leather construction, with brass fittings. Modified hanger, with repositioned rivet. Complete with leg strap. CONDITION: leather remains malleable, exhibiting scattered marks from handling and storage, some minor age related cracking, with areas of light to mild crazing present overall. Brass fittings retain a pleasing mellow patina, with scattered spots of verdigris. 2) M1911 Model of 1912 holster mfg. by Rock Island Arsenal in 1914. Closure flap is embossed "US" within an oval, with a faint "ROCK ISLAND/ ARSENAL/ 1914." marked on the rear. Rear of hanger swivel is marked "N.B.". Brown leather construction, with brass fittings. Complete with leg strap. CONDITION: leather remains malleable, exhibiting scattered marks from handling and storage and varying degrees of age related cracking overall, with some scattered spots of mild crazing. Brass fittings retain a pleasing mellow patina overall. 3) M1911 Model of 1912 holster mfg. by Rock Island Arsenal in 1915. Closure flap is embossed "US" within an oval, with "ROCK ISLAND/ ARSENAL/ 1915./ T.C.C." marked on the rear. Brown leather construction, with brass fittings. Complete with leg strap. CONDITION: leather remains malleable, exhibiting scattered marks from handling and storage, light to mild age related cracking overall, as well as scattered spots of light to mild crazing. Brass fittings retain a pleasing mellow patina, with some spots of verdigris. 4) M1911 Model of 1912 holster mfg. by Rock Island Arsenal in 1912. Closure flap is embossed with "US" within an oval, with "R.I.A./ 1912/ T.C.C." marked on the rear of the swivel. Brown leather construction, with brass fittings. Belt hook is absent. CONDITION: leather remains malleable, exhibiting scattered marks from handling and storage, with varying degrees of age related cracking and crazing present overall. Swivel is torn at the top. Brass fittings retain a dark brown patina, with scattered spots of verdigris. 5) M1911 Model of 1912 holster mfg. by Rock Island Arsenal in 1915. Closure flap is embossed "US" within an oval. Modified hanger with repositioned rivet is faintly marked "R.I.A./ 1915." on the rear, with what appears to be "2S054" stamped on the front. Brass swivel is stamped "L A S" on the front. Brown leather construction, with brass fittings. Complete with leg strap. CONDITION: leather remains malleable, exhibiting scattered marks from handling and storage, with varying degrees of age related cracking and crazing present overall. Brass fittings retain a pleasing mellow patina, with scattered spots of verdigris. 6) M1911 Model of 1912 holster produced by an unknown mfg. Closure flap is embossed "US" within an oval. Front of hanger exhibits 2 indiscernible stamps above a "U M". Rear of hanger's mfg. marks are no longer legible, with the date appearing to read "1914". Brown leather construction, with brass fittings. Complete with leg strap. CONDITION: leather remains malleable, exhibiting scattered marks from handling and storage, with some spots of crazing, and varying degrees of age related cracking present overall.
