HOLSTERS & ACCESSORIES. Lot consists of assorted Imperial Japanese military holsters and accessories, including: 1) Type 26 brown leather clamshell holster with brass fittings. Interior of closure flap exhibits several ink stamped kanji characters, denoting the mfg. Exterior of ammunition pouch closure flap is stamped with a small star. Cleaning rod is present. 2) Type 26 brown leather clamshell holster with brass fittings and original leather shoulder strap. Ammunition pouch contains 1-rd. of what appears to be 9x22mmR Type 26 ammunition. Cleaning rod is present. 3) Type 14 brown leather clamshell holster with brass fittings. Interior of closure flap is faintly marked with Kanji characters denoting the mfg. Holster contains 1 blued 8-rd. mag. (#087) and 1 clipped firing pin. Ammo pouch contains what appears to be a period whistle. 4) Type 14 brown leather holster with brass fittings. Holster is unmarked and contains no accessories. 5) Early pattern Type 14 brown leather clamshell holster with brass fittings and no provision for spare firing pin. Holster contains 1 nickel plated 8-rd. mag. (#220) and 1 cleaning rod. 6) Type 14 brown leather clamshell holster with brass fittings. Interior of closure flap is very faintly marked with Kanji characters denoting the mfg. Holsters contains 1 nickel plated 8-rd. mag. (#339) and 1 cleaning rod. Ammunition pouch retains 1 vintage box of Japanese 8x22mm Nambu ammunition, which appears to be missing only 1 or 2-rds. 7) Type 14 rubberized canvas clamshell holster with black enamel finished steel fittings. Interior of closure flap is ink stamped with Kanji characters and the Nagoya arsenal insignia above "DESPAiN, H.". Holsters contains 1 cleaning rod, with 12 loose rds. of 8x22mm Nambu ammunition. 8) Type 14 rubberized canvas clamshell holster with black enamel finished steel fittings and rubberized canvas shoulder strap. Interior of closure flap exhibits a single indistinguishable ink stamp. Holster contains 1 blued 8-rd. mag. (#868), 1 cleaning rod, and 1 smaller rubberized canvas shoulder strap. Ammunition pouch contains 15-rds. of 8x22mm Nambu ammunition, 3 fired casings, and 1 grooved Type 14 mag. follower button. 9) Type 94 brown leather holster with original leather shoulder strap. Brass closure flap button with steel should strap loops. Interior of closure flaps exhibits Kanji characters denoting the mfg., as well as an "18.5" (May 1943). Holster contains 1 nickel plated 6-rd. mag. (#892). 10) Type 94 brown leather holster with unfinished steel fittings. Holster is unmarked and contains 1 blued 6-rd. mag. (#816). 11) Reproduction Baby Nambu brown leather clamshell holster with shoulder strap. 12) Reproduction Type 14 Nambu brown leather clamshell holster. CONDITION: holsters exhibit varying degrees of wear, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Brass fittings exhibit areas of verdigris, with steel fittings exhibiting age related discoloration.
