Cal. 9mm. S# 82-0000845. Bbl. 5.75". The RPB Industries M10, often referred to as the MAC 10, was originally offered in semi-auto as an open-bolt system just like its predecessor, the M10 SMG. The BATF determined that the open-bolt semiautos met the criteria of a machine gun under the "readily restorable" clause and banned mfg., grandfathering those that were assembled on or before June 21, 1982, under ATF ruling 82-8. Like everything else, the federal government tells citizens they cannot have it, so interest in the early originals immediately skyrocketed, and they have been considered highly prized collectibles for almost 40 years now. This particular example is in beautiful condition and will only increase in rarity and collectability. Bbl. threaded with traditional threads. Factory-fixed front and rear sights. Rotating the cocking knob locks the action closed as an additional safety. Factory safety is located on the front right side of the trigger. MAGS: one steel 36-rd. CONDITION: exterior finish is complete and consistent, with some thinning on high spots and in areas of mechanical intervention. Bright bore with strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Terrence McCarty. (24-230/JZ). MODERN. $1,000-1,500.
