Cal. 45 ACP. S# 82-0006073. Bbl. 5.75". The RPB Industries M10, often mistakenly referred to as the Mac 10 (which obviously sounds cooler to the Hollywood crowd), was originally offered in semi-auto as an open bolt system, just like its predecessor, the M10 SMG. The BATF determined that the open bolt semi-autos met the criteria of a machine gun under the "readily restorable" clause and banned future manufacture, grandfathering those that were assembled on or before June 21, 1982, under ATF ruling 82-8. Like everything else, the Federal Government tells citizens they cannot have it, and interest in the early originals immediately skyrocketed; they have been considered highly prized collectibles for over 40 years now. Threaded barrel. Factory-protected post front and fixed rear peep sights. The rotating cocking knob locks the action closed as an additional safety feature. Primary safety is located on the front right side of the trigger. MAGS: (3 total): 1 steel 30 rd. and 2 steel 15 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: slotted barrel extension, sling, mag loader, and foam-lined hard case. CONDITION: Gentle exterior finish thinning, much less than is common with these pistols, having seen some range use over the last four decades. Bright bore with good rifling. The fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. PROVENANCE: the lifelong collection of Terrance McCarty. (24-196/JZ). MODERN. $600-900.
