CARBINE WITH CORRECT FEATURES. Cal. 30 Carb. S# 5863274. Bbl. 18", marked behind front sight "SAGINAW S.G. DIV. GENERAL MOTORS" & has "P" proof in front of bbl. band. Rear sight marked "S". Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Carbine made in approx. March 1944 in Saginaw's 2nd S# block which started at 5,834,619. Unmarked narrow bbl. band w/ stamped swivel. Straight cut slide marked "SG". Rnd. bolt marked "SG". Milled trigger guard marked "SG". Push button safety. Mag. catch marked "M" & "E-SG". Straight cut hammer marked "SG". Recoil plate marked "SG". Low wood oval cut walnut stock marked "RSG", "flaming bomb" & "F" in sling slot. Walnut 2 rivet handguard marked "RSG". MAGS: 1-15 rd. marked "O SG". CONDITION: stock appears to be in original condition but the markings consisting of boxed "SG" & "cross cannons" on right side of buttstock are very faint. Metal retains a very lg. degree of arsenal rework parkerized finish on receiver & bbl., leaving the bolt w/ notably thin finish. Bore has sharp lands & some shine but has scattered spots of oxidation throughout. (21-3584/RW). CURIO. $1,750-2,250.
