SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 7x20mm Nambu. S# 2558. Bbl. 3 1/4". Baby "Type B" Nambu semi-automatic pistol mfg. at the Tokyo Arsenal between 1903-1929. The right side of the slide is marked with Kanji characters denoting the model designation above the S# "2558", with the Tokyo Arsenal insignia marked over the top of the chamber. Major metal components exhibit a blue finish, with some small parts including the trigger, extractor, and sear bar exhibiting a straw finish. Bolt and locking block are polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Dovetailed blade front sight, with integral V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, mag. release button, bbl./bbl. extension, ejector, bolt, locking block, cocking knob, bolt lock / striker spring guide, grips, as well as the mag. MAGS: 1 7-rd. CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, some scattered spots of mild to moderate pitting, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Strawed parts retain most of their original finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina and spots of darker age related discoloration. Grips show some smoothing, as well as a couple of impressions and marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (24-6818/MLW). CURIO. $2,500-4,000.
