9422 XTR BOY SCOUT COMMEMORATIVE PROTOTYPE LEVER ACTION RIFLE WITH BOX. Cal. 22 S, L, LR. S# BSA. Bbl. 20 1/4". Model 9422 XTR prototype Boy Scout commemorative lever action rifle mfg. by U.S. Repeating Arms Co. under license from Winchester in 1985. The left side of the bbl. is marked with the Winchester trademark logo, followed by the model and cal. designations. Upper receiver tang is marked "1910-1985", with U.S. Repeating Arms' mfg. information marked on the lower tang. Underside of the receiver is marked with the S# "BSA". Receiver exhibits a case color hardened finish, with remaining metal components exhibiting a blue finish overall. High gloss checkered wood straight grip buttstock and forend, with Winchester checkered black synthetic buttplate. Ramped aluminum beaded blade front sight, with dovetailed U-notch rear sight, and grooved receiver. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unnumbered Winchester factory box. CONDITION: metal components retain bountiful amounts of their original factory finishes overall, exhibiting a few light superficial handling marks. Underside of lever link and upper buttplate screw exhibit a concentrated spot of mild surface oxidation. Lever retains its factory inspection card, which lists "GUN SERIAL NUMBER" as "EXP-22940". Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture is excellent overall. Box shows wear, age related discoloration, and some areas of water staining, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable.
