MILITARY SEMI-AUTO RIFLE W/ REPLACEMENT SA TRIGGER GROUP. Cal. 30-06. S# 1314937. Bbl. 24" marked on the right side with “WP” in oval. Throat and muzzle gauge less than 1.0. Rear sight has square end locking bar. Battle range elevation knob. Blade front sight w/protective ears. Sight screw seal is present. Receiver marked on right forward end "D28291-2". Bolt is marked "D28287-1" and "W.R.A." Slant cut operating rod marked "W.R.A". Single slot gas cylinder lock screw. Trigger housing and hammer marked "SA". Safety is marked "W.R.A." Unmarked milled trigger guard. Walnut stock set marked on left side over trigger guard, w/ boxed “WRA”& “GHD” and “crossed cannons”. Circle “P” proof under grip. Trap buttplate with “square” Winchester checkering. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching cardboard shipping box. Box has S# and barcode plus military stock number but does not indicate point of origin. The box contains two military storage wrappers. One in poor condition dated “SEPT 1953” and the other w/ S# dated “1/54”. CONDITION: stock set has very good appearance with light wear and staining w/ scattered small handling marks. Markings are sharp and legible. Metal has 80% of its original wartime parkerization with thinning and light wear. Trigger housing assembly has arsenal rework parkerizing. Very good shiny bore with sharp rifling. (22-4380/RW).
