SCHUETZEN SINGLE SHOT RIFLE. Cal. 38-55. S# 105439. Bbl. 30" No. 5 weight octagon. Interchangeable disc globe front sight, filler in rear dovetail with Lyman No. 47 Windgauge stem tang sight having large disc aperture. Action features double set triggers. Blue finish with case colored hammer, breach block and lever. Ebony tipped Schnabel forearm and hard rubber capped pistol grip cheekpiece stock of fancy walnut have style H checkering. Swiss style shuetzen buttplate has nickel finish. Left inside of lower tang has assembly number “3735” followed by “XSP”. Top tang channel of stock has matching assembly number. Weight; 12 lbs., 8.6 ozs. Cody record check lists caliber as 32-40 and confirms other features. Received in warehouse on July 20, 1907. Shipped from warehouse on August 21, 1907, Order number 104386. CONDITION: bbl. has dull lightly faded blue. Action retains 95% original blue showing edge wear and small marks. Hammer, breach block and lever retain 90% case colors.
