FEATHERWEIGHT BOLT ACTION RIFLE.
Cal. 243 Win. S# 406748. Bbl. 22” tapered round. Hooded ramp bead front sight w/ folding leaf rear sight. Lyman All-American 4x32 gloss finished scope w/ standard crosshairs on a Redfield 1 piece mount. Action features claw extractor & 3 position bolt mounted safety. Bolt has jeweled body & extractor & is numbered to the rifle. Alloy trigger guard & floorplate marked “SUPER GRADE”. Monte Carlo cheek piece high comb walnut sporter stock w/ black forearm tip, steel grip cap & Super Grade wraparound hand checkering. LOP: shortened to 14 1/8” over an aftermarket Pachmayr pad. Leather beavertail sling on original Super Grade swivels. The Super Grade featherweight is the rarest of all standard production styles. It was offered from 1955 through 1960 & only in cals. 243, 270, 308 & 30-06. Mfg. 1957. CONDITION: high condition rifle retaining over 97% original metal finish w/ thinning on bolt knob. Original wood finish retains sound checkering showing scattered scratches & marks. Very good bright bore. Scope has clear optics. (23-123/DS). CURIO. $5,000-7,000.
