BARRELS. Group of 26 barrels for the Browning machine gun. Barrels are 24" long. 23 are for the model 1919A4 and 3 are for the model 1919A6 light machine gun. 1). Model 1919A4. 7.62 NATO. All are Israeli manufacture and date in the 70's and 80's. 16 of the barrels appear unissued the remaining three are moderately worn. Marked at the breech end "7.62", "Hebrew letters in oval" and date. Most retain the plastic thread protectors. Bores on the unissued barrels are near excellent and the three used barrels have moderate wear. 2). Model 1919A4. 30-06. 3 barrels. One is manufactured by Rock Island Arsenal and the other 2 are by Saginaw Steering Gear. These well used barrels have worn notches and worn but serviceable bores. 3). Model 1919A4. 8X57 Mauser (7.92). One unmarked barrel appears unissued with an excellent bore. 4). Model 1919A6 light machine gun. 8X57 Mauser (7.92). 3 replacement barrels converted from German M.G. 34 barrels by welding bushings at the ends and retaining the lighter profiles of the original barrels. 2 of these barrels retain their original German "eagle" markings.
