One of only a handful of semi-automatic (autorevolver) revolvers produced the Model 6 Unica, featuring a unique design, which fires from the bottom cyl., acheiving a lower bore axis. This example, mfg. Italy by Mateba and imported by AAI, is marked with Italian proofs and a boxed "BN" (2000) date code, followed by "CAT. 12067" and the Mateba logo on the left side of the frame, with "6 UNICA", followed by the S#, AAI's importer information, and "MA-TE-BA/ PAVIA ITALY/ CAL. 44 REM. MAG." on the right. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 1-piece checkered wood grip. V/R with adj. front sight and adj. square notch rear sight. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching factory box containing factory hard case. CONDITION: excellent, as refinished, with metal components retaining virtually all of their reapplied blue, exhibiting some scattered spots of light pitting beneath the finish. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Wood grip is excellent, exhibiting a few minor handling marks. Box shows some exterior wear and staining, with some separation to the corners on the lid, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (24-1868/MLW). MODERN. $3,000-5,000.
