CARBINE. Cal. 30 Carbine. S# 5720470. Bbl. 18". Bbl. is marked on top with "W" and "WP" Winchester proofs. Stamped aperture rear sight, marked with an "H" in a shield. Blade front sight with protective ears. Bbl. band with wire-type swivel. Straight-cut slide, marked with a "W"; flat bolt is also marked with a "W." Milled "W"-marked trigger housing. Push-button safety marked with "EW." Mag. catch and straight-cut hammer are also marked "W." Oval-cut, low-wood walnut stock, marked on the right side of the butt with a crisp "W.R.A. G.H.D. (crossed cannons)." Marked "H" at the end of the pistol grip. "W"-marked, two-rivet handguard. Green web sling. MAGS: one detachable 15-rnd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: canvas muzzle cover, marked "E.A. BROWN MFG. CO. 1944." CONDITION: stock set has light wear and scattered handling marks over the original finish, with legible markings. Metal retains 75% of its original Parkerized finish, with thinning and light wear. Very good, shiny bore with sharp lands. (24-5777/RW). CURIO. $800-1,200.
