PROCESSION. Circa 1951. Gouache and watercolor on paper depicting a nighttime procession with cross and pronounced yellow tones through the parades' center with the figures in procession wearing dark robes against a mottled dark sky. The image has a mystical appearance about it and exhibits various similarities of other works he produced in the late 40s and early 50s. Signed lower edge of center "Diego Rivera 51". Housed in an ebony and gold gilt carved frame, matted with gold liner under glass. SIZE: overall 15" x 17 1/2", sight 6 1/2" x 8 1/2". CONDITION: overall very good. (05-1041/TG). $15,000-25,000.
