DUAL CALIBER MARKINGS. Cal. 44 Russian & S&W Special. S# 334309. Bbl. 7 1/2" with blade sight. 6-shot fluted cyl. Blue and case colored finish. 2-piece checkered hard rubber Rampant Colt grips. Frame, grip straps, and grips have matching S#s. Mfg. in 1916. Records indicate that only 506 guns were mfg. in .44 S&W Special. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Colt Archive letter stating the following: "Serial Number: 334309 / Caliber: 44 S&W. / Barrel Length: 7 1/2" / Finish: Blue / Type of Stocks: Not Listed / Shipped To: Warner Hardware Company / Address: Minneapolis, Minnesota / Date of Shipment: November 21, 1916 / Number of Same Type Guns in Shipment: 1". CONDITION: bbl., cyl., and grip straps retain over 90% lightly worn original blue showing light carry and edge wear with an area of fading and spots of corrosion on backstrap. Frame retains over 50% light and fading case colors with scattered spots of light pitting, most prevalent on the top strap. Grips show light wear. Action is tight and sound.
