Cal. 30 Luger. S# 29550. Bbl. 4 3/4" w/ saw tooth shaped front sight, Swiss cross proof & full matching number; no other marks. Receiver Swiss cross proofed having Herr Vogelsang boxed inspection plus cross in sunburst over chamber. Police model had cross in shield over chamber, Commercial model had commercial BUG proofs & 1906/20 Model had 4" bbl. Normal Swiss military S# range is 5001-15215. Standard DWM Model mfg. in S# range 25050 to 69000 indicating this pistol assembled & proofed in Switzerland w/ parts from standard 1906 model. Matching numbers on takedown lever, trigger, grip safety, sideplate, breech block, GELADEN marked extractor, checkered walnut grips & both toggles. Strawed sm. parts w/ serrated safety lever; safe in upper position & polished bright. Narrow trigger guard, wide trigger & all blued w/out in the white internal sections. This gun is featured on p. 648 of Dr. Geoffrey Sturgess’ The Borchardt & Luger Automatic Pistols. MAGS: good plated 8 rd. w/ even frosted appearance; unmarked wood base w/ disks. CONDITION: very good to excellent appearance w/ Swiss quality throughout. Extremely nice, vivid straw colors; very good grips w/ slight hand wear. Near excellent bore.
