Cal. 30 Luger. S# 79657. Bbl. is 3 7/8” w/ full matching number, crown “N” proof plus fin shaped sight having serrated face. Mfg. immediately after WW1 having “GERMANY” export mark on right front of receiver. Sometimes erroneously referred to as 1923 Commercial model, but actually preceded 1920 Commercial; approx. 13,000 made w/in S# 74845 to 92000 in 30 cal. Matching numbers in commercial locations, crown “N” proof on left front of receiver, strawed small parts, unmarked checkered walnut grips plus appropriate internal areas in the white. Matching numbered side plate, takedown lever & trigger. Breech block & rear toggle numbered “09”. Center link on bottom appears to have “9” plus extractor numbered "77". MAGS: 1 good 9 rd blued (scattered peppery oxidation & light dent about 1” up from base on right near spine). Aluminum base marked “5818” over “m” over “+” over eagle “83” proof as used on Mauser S/42 Lugers. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked vintage box for original shipment plus 2 tables of illustration showing parts & models. Vintage manual titled “The PARABELLUM Automatic Pistol” printed in English. CONDITION: good overall appearance w/ areas of very light pitting & peppery oxidation. Faded straw colors w/ safety lever & ejector being most faded plus left side of trigger & takedown lever best appearing. Well fitting grips w/ noticeable hand wear. Very good bore w/ very light wear & hint of frosting. (23-859/NW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
