CARBINE. Cal. 7.65 Arg. S# B1052. Bbl. 22 1/2". Blade front sight with protective ears. Tangent rear sight graduated to 1400m. Receiver-mounted Redfield aperture rear sight. Stock has cut to accommodate this sight. Safety is numbered "80." The stock number is faint but appears mismatched. Other visible numbers are matching. Handguard and rear band assemblies are not present. Receiver top has Argentine crest. Left side of the receiver has Argentine Model 1909 and DWM markings. Reblue finish. Walnut stock set with no sling hardware. CONDITION: refinished stock shows a long 6 1/2" crack on left side running to behind trigger guard, a notable crack forming to right of trigger guard, scattered dings, and handling wear. Cleaned bolt assembly appears partially bright with scattered oxidation. Balance of metal retains 90% of its dull reblue, with scattered dings, oxidation, and fading to brown. Action functions properly when hand-cycled. Bore shows scattered frosting but evident rifling. (24-5077/MJC). MODERN. $300-400.
