PISTOL WITH CUSTOM DISPLAY CASE & ACCESSORIES. Cal. 7.65x21mm Parabellum. S# 19715. Bbl. 4 3/4". Model 1900 Luger, mfg. in Germany by DWM for commercial sales. Toggle is marked with the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Crown over "B", "U", and "G" commercial proofs are present on the underside of the bbl., with Crown over "B" and "U" proofs present on the bbl. extension, breechblock, and forward toggle link. Major metal components exhibit a rust blue finish, with some smaller components exhibiting either a straw or nitre blue finish. Bbl. extension appears to have been reblued at one time. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Dished toggles, with anti-rebound arm. All numbers are matching and include the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, grip safety, bbl., bbl. extension, breechblock, toggles, as well as the grips. MAGS: two 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Custom wood display case containing one contemporary mag., a punch tool, and a cleaning rod, as well as a vintage copy of "The Parabellum Automatic Pistol" manual. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning overall that show through to gray and brown patinas, some scattered flecks of light surface oxidation and/or pitting, as well as some scattered handling marks and dings. Strawed components exhibit varying degrees of wear, with worn areas exhibiting a gray patina, as well as spots of light pitting and age-related discoloration. Bore exhibits consistent dark pitting while retaining fair to good rifling throughout. Grips exhibit some smoothing and some scattered nicks and marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Left grip panel exhibits a chip in the usual area to the rear of the safety lever. Case is very good overall. Manual exhibits age-related discoloration, with some fraying at a few page ends, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Jim Williams. (24-2636/MLW).
