PISTOL. Cal. 30 Luger. S# 46654. Bbl. 4 5/8". Model 1906 American Eagle Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. by DWM for commercial sales within the U.S. The bbl. extension and marked with Crown/B and Crown/U commercial proofing on the left (repeated on the left side of the toggle train), with the Great Seal of the United States marked over the top of the chamber. Toggle is marked with the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Underside of bbl. is marked with Crown/B/U/G proofing. Frame, bbl., and bbl. extension exhibit a rust blue finish, with some small parts exhibiting either a straw or nitre blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Standard clipped blade front sight with fixed V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching in the correct commercial (hidden) fashion, and include the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, grip safety, bbl., bbl. extension, breechblock, and toggles. MAGS: 1 tinned 8-rd. mag., with unmarked wood plug. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, showing light to mild edge wear and some thinning overall. Strawed parts retain trace to fair amounts of their original finish, with the balance fading to a gray patina. Trigger shows some light pitting. Dark bore, exhibiting consistent mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show mild smoothing, as well as scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (25-3488/MLW). CURIO. $1,500-2,500.
