STOCK. Cal. 30 Luger. S# 67371. Bbl. 4 3/4". Standard configuration American Eagle Luger as made by DWM in .30 caliber with 4.75" bbl. having a drift adj. front sight and an opened up square notch rear sight. American eagle over chamber. Intertwined "DWM" on the first toggle link. Full S# surmounting "GERMANY" on the forward frame with the full S# repeating under bbl. and the last 2-digits on all of the usual small parts as applied to commercial pistols. Lazy Crown/N bbl. extension that is repeated under the bbl. and on the breech and forward toggle link. Fitted with smooth wood metal backed Ideal grips. Correct tin bodied mag. with unmarked plug. MAGS: 1 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: standard Ideal stock which is framed in sheet and tubular metal around a black leather holster, with tensioned belt clip on obverse surface. Front and back of frame marked "PATENT PENDING". CONDITION: Luger with approx. 95% bright original blue with sharp edge wear in usual locations around muzzle, tip of rails, and hump/edges of sideplate, and grip safety. Minor oxidation flecking on right side of bbl., bottom and front of grip straps. Comparable condition strawed parts, with freshening on the takedown and safety levers. VG+ grips, oil darkened with a scattering of superficial handling marks. Near excellent mag. Bright bore, minimal oxidation, sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics. Ideal stock, well used with metal retaining about 30% original finish the rest having drifted to a patina. Oil soaked leather with crazing, stitching is intact. An interesting period ensemble that ATF exempted from its SBR category. (25-3477/LMA). CURIO. $3,500-5,500.
