Cal. 7.65x53mm Mauser. S# C0013. Bbl. 29 1/2". Model 1909 Argentino bolt action rifle, mfg. by DWM under contract for Argentina. The receiver is marked with the Argentine coat of arms over the top of the chamber, with "MAUSER MODELO/ ARGENTINO 1909.", followed by DWM's mfg. information on the left. Left side of bbl. is stamped "7.65", just forward of the handguard. Receiver, bolt assembly, bayonet lug, and buttplate are polished in-the-white, with remaining metal components exhibiting a reapplied blue finish. Plain 1-piece smooth wood buttstock, with smooth wood handguard. Standard blade front sight, with tangent rear sight graduated from 3-20. Matching numbers are present on the receiver and buttstock. CONDITION: receiver and bolt assembly exhibit some scattered spots of cleaned oxidation and age-related discoloration overall. Blued components retain the majority of their reapplied finish, exhibiting some light wear, with pitting beneath the bluing overall. Fairly bright bore, exhibiting pitting and grease, while retaining good rifling throughout. Stock and handguard exhibit scattered marks, dings, and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Upper buttplate screw is bent and warped overall, with the buttplate scattered spots of surface oxidation overall. (24-4203/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
